"Beyond the Technological and the Social Paradigms: A Political Reading of Abstract Labour as the Substance of Value"
by De Angelis, Massimo (1995)
Abstract
De Angelis proposes an approach to value which gives central place to the capital-labour relation, and specifically to the category of abstract labour as the form taken by work under capitalism?alienated, imposed, and inherently boundless. This approach is counter-posed to alternative readings of the labour theory of value in both the technological and social paradigms.
