Abstract

Vincenzo Pietrogiovanni (Chapter 4) elaborates on the right to collective bargaining at EU level in the light of its nature of fundamental right. Then, he presents suggestions for labour law scholars’ hermeneutic to adjust their methodological approaches and advocates for a re-definition of collective bargaining in terms, firstly, of ‘collective labour freedom’, and secondly as a ‘property right’, as a way of strengthening Collective Labour Law in Europe.
