"Self-help robots drive blues away"
by Sachan, Dinsa (2018)
Abstract
Technology start-ups have a brand new fascination: human feelings. They have created a new breed of robots, called chatbots, that can help people engage with their emotions and develop resilience. According to WHO, more than 300 million people have depression worldwide. More than 50% of these individuals do not receive treatment or care. Could chatbots play a role in reducing that disease burden or are they just going to join the already cluttered space of digital health tools?
